Best Brandon Ingram prop bets for tonight’s Pelicans vs. Nets game

Following the Zion Williamson injury, expect Brandon Ingram to step up for the New Orleans Pelicans. Consider these key player props as they face the Brooklyn Nets.

The New Orleans Pelicans are set to face off with the Brooklyn Nets tonight as they continue to navigate the murky waters without their injured star forward Zion Williamson.

This significant loss has put more pressure on the rest of the roster. This is especially the case with former All-Star forward Brandon Ingram, who will be expected to headline the team in Williamson’s absence. New Orleans is just 3-7 to start the year and have not looked impressive on the court. While the Nets have looked better than expected to start the season, these are the types of matchups that the Pelicans must capitalize on to reach their playoff aspirations.

New Orleans enters this game as 1.5-point underdogs and +100 on the moneyline. Brooklyn is considered -120 favorites on the moneyline on DraftKings Sportsbook with the game total set at 210 points.

As Ingram prepares to take on the Nets, here are his best prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

DraftKings Sportsbook has set Brandon Ingram’s prop lines for points (24.5), rebounds (5.5), assists (5.5), and made three-pointers (2.5). Here are the top betting options to consider:

Over 24.5 Points (-125): The points line for Brandon Ingram is set at 24.5 points, with the over favored at -125 odds while the under available at -105. So far this season, Ingram has averaged 22.8 points per game, but has eclipsed 24.5 points in five-of-10 appearances. He also has averaged as many as 24.7 points per game over a season in his career.

Brooklyn is a middle-of-the-pack defensive team that ranks 15th in opponent points allowed at 112.3 per game. Cam Johnson will likely be tasked with the Ingram matchup. In the four games Ingram has played without Williamson this year, he has produced scoring outputs of 33, 32, 27, and 11 points.

Over 5.5 Rebounds (-120): The rebounding total for Ingram is set at 5.5, with the over favored at -120 odds. The under is listed at -110. Ingram has averaged 6.0 rebounds per game this season, which is a career-high. He has tallied over 5.5 rebounds in five of the ten games, and tallied eight rebounds in two games.

Brooklyn ranks 11th in opponent rebounds so far this season and has done a decent job controlling the glass. In the four games without Williamson thus far, Ingram has produced rebounding outputs of seven, seven, five, and five boards.

Over 5.5 Assists (-125): Ingram’s assists line is set at 5.5, with the over favored at -120 odds and the under set at -105. The Duke product has averaged just 4.6 assists per game this season and recorded over 5.5 assists in just four of the 10 games. This also is a step back from his typical output as Ingram has averaged 5.6 or more assists across each of the last three seasons.

Williamson makes his impact felt in a variety of ways, so replacing his 5.3 assists per game should not be overlooked. Ingram has not been rewarded for some of his passing this season, so that should be expected to even out over time. He is a capable playmaker with a significant role in the offense. Ingram to record over 5.5 assists is my favorite of the bets mentioned thus far.

Over 2.5 Three-Pointers Made (+140): The three-point line for Brandon Ingram is set at 2.5, with the under heavily favored at -182 odds. The odds for the over are set at +140.

The NBA is launching three-pointers at an all-time high rate and Ingram has kept up with this trend. So far this year, he has attempted 6.5 three-pointers per game which is a career-high. He has connected on 35.4% of these attempts and has eclipsed 2.5 made three-pointers in five of the 10 games thus far. Ingram has preferred operating in the midrange for most of his career, but getting +140 odds for the Pelicans star to knock down at least three shots from beyond the arc is great value.

Futures Outlook: New Orleans was eliminated in the first round of the playoffs last year and will be looking to get back. They currently hold +360 odds of making the playoffs and +230 odds of qualifying for the play-in tournament. The Pelicans also hold the 12th-best odds of winning the Western Conference at +7500.
