The City of New Orleans Prepares for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour at the Caesar’s Superdome, Issues Traffic and Transportation Reminders

NEW ORLEANS – Mayor LaToya Cantrell and City officials announced public safety measures ahead of the highly anticipated Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” at the Caesar’s Superdome from October 25-27, 2024. With thousands of fans expected to attend, the city has issued important traffic and transportation reminders to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all.

The New Orleans Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP) will activate the City’s Event Command Post, staffed by representatives from public safety agencies, to monitor the Taylor Swift Eras Tour and associated events. NOHSEP will be in contact with State and Federal partners to ensure public safety.

The “Eras Tour” is set to bring in a huge crowd and the City of New Orleans is taking necessary precautions to handle the influx of visitors. “We are excited to welcome Taylor Swift and her fans to our city for this monumental event. This tour will be an opportunity for us to showcase why we are a world class city when it comes to hosting superstar events on the biggest stages,” said Mayor Latoya Cantrell.

Additionally, road closures and parking restrictions will be in place around the Superdome on concert days. It is advised that drivers plan their route accordingly and allow for extra travel time. The City of New Orleans is also reminding fans to be mindful of their surroundings and follow all traffic laws while traveling to and from the venue.
